A 4.3 GHz speed boosts the 3.7 GHz base clock speed to give a high processing power output. It also generates about 105W of TDP.

Ryzen 5 3600 is a third-generation AMD Ryzen processor with 6 cores and 12 threads with an AM4 socket which can be matched with system specifications to boost efficiency. Additionally, it has 32MB cache memory and 128GB overall memory capacity.

Additionally, it has a 3.6 GHz base speed with a 4.2 GHz turbo boost speed, enabling the processor to perform faster. It also generates 65W TDP, and the SenseMI helps to cool off the system and prevent overheating.

Both processors have been tested using 1080p and 1440p resolutions, and R5 3600 seemed to perform better with 1080p resolution in Control, COD, Fortnite, and Star Wars, amongst others. Still, barely any difference was noted in the 1440p resolution.

However, when a processor benchmark involving the R7 2700x and R5 3600 was considered, it would appear that the R5 3600 did better based on single-core performance and power efficiency. In contrast, the 7 2700x did better when all cores were involved. R5 is more energy efficient than the R7 processor model.

Cost

A Ryzen 7 2700x costs between $200 – $250 and is slightly more pricey than the 3600. However, analyzing its features and performance stats is worth the extra bucks.

Ryzen 5 3600 can be purchased for $200, except when discounts are added. This would be the perfect option for PCs and desktops looking for a good processor on a budget. Seeing that the performance doesn’t differ by a long shot.

The Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 7 2700x processors are great products that optimally perform their functions. Which of these products a user decides to opt for would depend mainly on their personal needs.
