8 Ways To Fix The Error:

1. Reboot Computer

This simple action can often resolve various software-related issues and is an important initial step in resolving computer errors.

  2. Click on the Start menu in the bottom left corner of your screen.
  3. Select the Power option.
  4. Choose Restart from the dropdown menu.

2. Modifying the Intune Application Protection Policy

We recently got this error for a client and all we did was to modify the Intune policy.

Here are the steps we followed:

  1. Open Microsoft Intune on your device.

  4. Select the policy and click on “Edit.”
  5. Scroll down to find the section that restricts cutting, copying, and pasting.
  6. Modify this section to allow copying and pasting of data.

3. Pasting into a Different File or Document

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Open the file or document where you want to paste the data.
  2. Select the content that you want to copy from your managed app, such as Outlook.
  3. Right-click on the selected content and choose “Copy” from the context menu.
  4. Switch to the file or document where you want to paste the data.
  5. Right-click on an empty space in the file or document and choose “Paste” from the context menu.

4. Try to make some changes and then attempt to save the document.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Exit the software or application generating the problem.
  2. Restart your device to ensure a fresh start.
  3. Check for any updates available for Microsoft Office Suite and install them if necessary.
  4. Try pasting the data into a different file or document to see if the error persists.
  5. Make the necessary changes to the document and then save it.

  7. If none of the above steps work, consider creating a new protection policy in Microsoft Intune.
  8. If you’re working with an Excel file, try recreating it and making any required changes before attempting to paste again.

5. Update the Microsoft Office Suite

  1. Check for updates: Open any Office application, such as Word or Excel. Click on the “File” tab and select “Account.” Look for the “Update Options” and click on “Update Now.” This will check for any available updates for your Office suite.

Here’s what you need to do:

Save a copy of the Excel file:

  • Open the Excel file that you want to copy from.
  • Click on “File” in the top left corner.
  • Select “Save As” and choose a location where you want to save the copied version of the file.

Close the original Excel file:

  • Close the Excel file that displayed the error message.
  • This ensures that any potential issues with the original file won’t interfere with recreating it.

Open the saved copy of the Excel file:

  • Locate and open the newly saved copy of your Excel file.
  • Ensure that any changes or updates you made to the original file are also present in this saved version.

Copy and paste from the recreated Excel new file:

  • Once your saved copy is open, select and copy the data you want to transfer.
  • Switch to your desired application and paste the data into it.
