  5. In the System window, click on “Advanced system settings” on the left-hand side.
  6. In the System Properties window, go to the Advanced tab.
  7. Under Performance, click on “Settings.”
  • Go to the Advanced tab again.
  • Under Virtual Memory, click on “Change.”
  • Uncheck the box that says “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.”
  • Select your Windows drive (usually C: ) from the list of drives.
  • Check the box next to “No paging file.”
  • Click on “Set.”
  • Click on “OK” to save changes.

  3. From the left sidebar, choose Recovery.
  4. Under the Reset this PC section, click on Get Started.
  5. If you choose Keep My Files, Windows will reinstall itself while preserving your files. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the reset.
  6. If you choose to Remove everything, you’ll have an additional option to remove only your files or fully clean the drive as well.
  7. After making your selection, follow the prompts and confirm your decision to begin the reset process.
  8. Windows will restart and initiate the reset procedure. This may take some time depending on your system specifications.
  9. Once the reset is complete, Windows 10 / 11 will be restored to its default settings without any third-party software or user configurations.
